Rap Artist T.I. Involved In Gun Battle

TI graced Cincinnati with his presence and talent on May 2nd at an establishment called Bogarts. No complaints or letdowns, he rocked the crowd!

Then, TI and his people, his entourage ended up at a club called, The Ritz. So not a good move. I live here and don't patronage it. Why? Because of gun fire. Gun fire, that has in the past left bloodshed and dead bodies in their parking lot.

Something went wrong. What the Cincinnati Police are terming a running gun battle. This dispute an altercation pursued down the streets of a surrounding community and onto I-75. An announcement was made by our local Fox News, that one man has just died and the other 2 men remain in serious condition. The interstate also reopened, it was shut down since about 3:30am this morning. Right now, all I can say is DAMN!

What in the hell happened? Bogarts is a cool spot. It' nr. the University of Cincinnati. It's on a strip of shops, restaurants, boutiques, tattoo parlors and things like that. It's a cultural experience, by means of all ethnicities can be found. The community, which is called Clifton is where many of our local artists get their start. I was once a featured poet at a place called The Loft Society. People from everywhere navigated there to here jazz musicians from all over the world.

But, the Ritz - Ha! No way, I wouldn't touch it with a 10ft. pole. And, right down the street is this joint called Vitos. If you are ever in Cincinnati on Reading Rd. in the Roselawn area DON'T STOP. Flee for your life and don't look back. You just may turn into a pillar of salt....Shootings, Killings, Shootings and more Killings. Too many young African American lives are lost! A stray bullet may hit when they have their doors opened for business.

So, the Homicide Unit continues to investigate this early morning tragedy and I bet right now Mayor Mark Mallory is saying, "DAMN!"
